A secure, Internet-based personal health record is now available -- for free. Located at www.ihealthrecord.org, this service is available to all patients. Many feel that having all health records "in one place" will lead to improvements in care because a patient's history can now be easily retrieved and reviewed.
Patient - clinician secure e-mail and online consultation are also being added to this national network. This service was designed by Medem, with the American Medical Association, and other medical societies.
