These brands include Johnnie Walker ®, Guinness®, Smirnoff®, J&B®, Baileys®, Jose Cuervo®, Tanqueray®, Captain Morgan®, and Beaulieu Vineyard® and Sterling Vineyards® wines. Diageo was concerned that the maximum benefit on their group Long Term Disability (LTD) Plan would penalize their highly compensated executives. C.M. Smith designed an LTD "carve out" Plan for select executives on a guaranteed issue basis that provided the desired coverage limits. We also negotiated a reduced unit cost for the Group LTD Plan, and obtained a three-year rate guarantee.
